Khariis Ubiaro, born in London in 1998, is a genuine talent – an actor, poet, dancer, singer, screenwriter, and model. His work addresses issues of identity, race, youth, passion, imagination, death, morals, love and integrity. Not afraid to be angry, Ubiaro lashes out at ignorance and asserts his identity as an artist and a young man.
Khariis published his debut poetry pamphlet in 2017 titled My Minds Dark Parties. Unabashedly political, this debut collection examines race, religion and fame with passion and wit, as well as exploring love, mental health, and the artist’s obsession with creation. This is an electrifying set of poems.
Khariis’ credits include T.V, commercial adverts, short films, national theatre and live music performances.
Merely a vessel for intense mood and emotion. Khariis uses his powers to provoke change in our world. Whether it be a change in perspective or a shift in feeling – he intends to bring humanity to a deeper level of consciousness through his work. Seeking to break the cages on our minds, he uses acting and writing with a core focus on the margins between life and death, reality and other. Khariis is currently working on his first screenplay and will be appearing in Riz Ahmed’s forthcoming film Mughal Mowgli.

Inspired by the sounds of Jhené Aiko, Erykah Badu and Marsha Ambrosius, her style can be described as socially conscious with an R’n’B twang. She has been making music for just under 6 years and has since started her own night called ‘Madi’s Lean Up Ting’ aimed to put artists on stage that are misunderstood and overlooked. 2019 is set to be an amazing for the 19-year old singer-songwriter with the release of her debut project on the horizon.
