Bio to follow

FALANA Toronto via Lagos singer Falana, draws from a broad palette of influences, including, R&B, afrobeats and pop. Growing up she heard her parents playing gospel and Nigerian artist such as King Sunny Ade and Fela. But it was Falana’s own discovery of soul (Etta James, Duke Ellington, Lauryn Hill, Sade, Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse) and more alternative artists such as Florence and The Machine, Feist and Bjork that helped shaped her influences. A stint in Havana, Cuba, where Falana studied music and first started recording, allowed her to explore her artistic voice further and helped further shape what we hear today. It’s this notion of old meets new that threads through everything Falana does whether that be her effortless penchant for fashion or through the genre-fusing music she creates and performs with her powerful vocals and unique instrumentation. Her lyrics like pages from her diary are intimate and direct, but delivered with power and meaning. She sees her work as the intersection of contemporary and vintage, both sonically and visually - where the old meets and inspires the new.

25-year-old singer, rapper & producer Geovarn first stepped into the spotlight in October 2014 with his debut track 4AM. The track was laced with raw hip-hop sounds and accompanied by smooth melodies, it reflected the sensitivity of a talented 21-year-old struggling to break away from a life of gang culture, one that was dominating North London and in particular his area Tottenham.

As one of the leading figures of the #RnBrit movement, London-based producer, rapper and singer Geovarn is gaining some serious heat for his blend of grime, R&B and soul music. In October 2018 he dropped his latest mixtape, Lost Files 2, it racked up over 250,000 streams on Spotify alone. The Heat of the tape had radio DJ’s calling him the UK 'Drake!'

He is now gearing up to drop his second mixtape “MEAN” which is set to be released on the 15th February 2019. Geovarn would love for you to join him at the official Launch Party for the mixtape on 9th March 2019 at Miranda at The Ace Hotel, London.
