We are inviting five talented individuals to take centre stage and showcase their talent for 60 seconds each. Choose one of these two instrumentals.

The winner will be chosen based on crowd participation and will be rewarded with having their song added to our much-loved ‘New Talent First’ playlist. The winner will also receive a pair of tickets to our next show.

Host

DJ Ace, a key figure in UK R&B, is a Sony Gold Award-winning broadcaster, MOBO host, and dedicated champion of emerging talent.

In February 2023, he launched Everything RNB (ERNB), an affiliate of The RecordBox, to amplify UK R&B on a global scale.

After 21 years at BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ace has joined Kiss FM, hosting a new Sunday 9pm R&B show for 2.3 million listeners. The two-hour slot delivers the latest tracks, KISSTORY classics, and top-tier guest features.

DJ

Pharaoh is a multi-genre DJ and national radio broadcaster for the world-famous BBC Radio 1Xtra. Pharaoh has graced the stages of renowned venues like Fabric, Electric Brixton, KOKO, Soho House (White City & Shoreditch), Ministry of Sound, and Somerset House. 

His broadcasting career has allowed him to work alongside some of the world's biggest stars, including Sean Paul, Mo Gilligan, Ishowspeed, Raheem Sterling, Swizz Beats, Professor Green, Masego, and more. Notting Hill Carnival, Rototom Fest, Wireless, and City Splash are a few major events where he has left his mark.


LINEUP

EMI. KKO

EMI.KKO is a 25 year old Scottish/Jamaican artist born in the east side of London.

Drawing inspiration from everyday life, as well as an extremely wide range of genres such as RnB, Pop, indie-rock and electronica, Emi embodies all that it means to live without labels.

They pride themself on bringing something to the table that has never been seen, heard or experienced before. Their sound is an amalgamation of Emi’s edgy demeanor, gritty and experimental beats, and angelic vocal tones and choral harmonies that create a stimulating, feel good experience for every listener.

ME.TAI

Taiwo, known as ‘Me.Tai’, grew up in South East London with a deep love for music, inspired by her DJ father. Her passion for singing was ignited at the age of eight during a school talent show. Influenced by the Spice Girls and Michael Jackson, Tai’s musical tastes were further shaped by her sister’s introduction to R&B icons like Brandy and Whitney Houston.

As a Black woman from Peckham, Me. Tai faced challenges in the music industry but persevered with the support of her twin brother. Her breakthrough came in 2016-2017 while working with the production duo ‘SOS’ in Los Angeles, leading to deals with Peer Music. 

Me. Tai’s music blends worldly sounds with strong R&B influences, characterised by introspective lyrics and strong melodies. She finds inspiration in real-life events and values collaboration, having worked with artists like Tiwa Savage, Bellah, Adekunle Gold, Mystro Sugar, and SOS.

A significant achievement in her career is her contribution to the Netflix series "Inventing Anna." Me. Tai has had the pleasure of performing at notable venues and events, including The O2 Arena, The BRIT Awards, and the Nice Jazz Festival.

Outside of music, Me. Tai enjoys cooking, fashion, and supporting women in Nigeria with essential hygiene products. Looking ahead, she aims to challenge listeners, inspire individuality, and achieve a world tour. Her debut single, ‘Emotional’, is OUT NOW.

Me. Tai’s message to her fans is to embrace authenticity and surrender to oneself. She hopes to leave a legacy of love, driven by resilience, passion, and authenticity.

Kadeem Tyrell

Kadeem Tyrell is a rising British R&B and Soul artist from Battersea, South London, known for his smooth, emotionally rich sound that blends R&B, Neo-Soul, Garage, and House. Influenced by icons like Aaliyah, Brandy, and A Tribe Called Quest, Tyrell draws from a musical upbringing shaped by his singer mother and DJ father.

As a performer, Tyrell has graced venues such as The Jazz Cafe and festivals including The Great Escape and 696 Festival, receiving support from notable figures including DJ Ace, Rebecca Judd, Complex, Wonderland, Clash, and Notion. He has also collaborated with artists like James Vickery and Ego Ella May, and co-written Jaz Karis’s “Nice Girls,” featuring Mahalia.

Vicky Trantou

Vicky Trantou is a 22-year-old alternative R&B singer and songwriter from West London, already making waves as BBC 1 Xtra and BBC Introducing’s "One to Watch for 2025." Since debuting in 2020, Vicky has captivated audiences with her powerhouse vocals, distinctive tone, and dynamic stage presence, drawing inspiration from artists such as Jazmine Sullivan, Tori Kelly, and Jessie J. With a rising fanbase and an ever-evolving sound, Vicky is quickly becoming one of the most exciting talents in the scene.
