iluvlive Remembers Talay Riley

When iluvlive welcomed Talay Riley to the stage at Queen of Hoxton in September 2010, he was nineteen years old and already had a number one to his name. Co-writing "Oopsy Daisy" for Chipmunk, featuring on "Look For Me," writing for JLS, Tinie Tempah, the list was extraordinary.

iluvlive has always been about finding those moments, having the privilege of seeing talent, before the world catches up. Talay gave us one of those moments. Fifteen years on, the loss of him at 35 is devastating, and felt deeply across the community this organisation has been part of for over two decades.

He went on to help craft some of the biggest songs in modern pop and R&B, writing for Dua Lipa, Chris Brown, H.E.R., Khalid, and so many others, but we’ll always remember the young man who stood on our stage.
