Reprezent Radio's Rellik Tha Don takes the lead on iluvlive’s home for the next wave of UK Black music.
iluvlive's New Talent First (NTF) playlist has a new Lead Curator. Rellik Tha Don is now shaping the playlist, bringing his ear for fresh UK talent to every update.
Since launching in November 2024, New Talent First has been a space for rising artists to be heard before their breakthrough. With Rellik at the helm, that mission gets sharper. His championing of the underground now feeds directly into what our listeners discover.
Meet Rellik Tha Don
Rellik Tha Don is a radio presenter and DJ, and one of the UK's most trusted voices in R&B. Every Sunday, he hosts The R&B Show on Reprezent Radio.
His show is a go-to destination for new R&B from across the UK and beyond. Alongside the music, Rellik sits down with rising and established artists for in-depth guest interviews, giving listeners the stories behind the songs. That combination of discovery and connection is exactly what New Talent First is built on.
What this means for the playlist
Rellik will hand-pick the tracks that make up New Talent First, drawing on the artists he hears and meets through his radio work. Submissions to iluvlive will continue to feed in too, so emerging artists anywhere in the country still have a direct route onto the playlist.
For listeners, it means a playlist shaped by someone who lives and breathes new music every week. For artists, it means a respected tastemaker with a genuine commitment to grassroots talent will hear your music. The move also deepens iluvlive’s long-standing approach of working with industry voices who share our belief in putting new talent first.
Lauren Louise Powell, Managing Director of iluvlive, says:
"New Talent First has always been about giving emerging artists a space to be heard before the rest of the world catches on. Rellik has been doing exactly that on air for years, so bringing him in as Lead Curator just makes sense. His ear, his relationships with artists and his love for brand new talent will take this playlist to the next level, and we can’t wait for our community to hear what he brings.”
Follow the New Talent First playlist to hear Rellik’s latest picks, and share your discoveries to help these artists grow.
You can catch Rellik live on The R&B Show every Sunday from 12 pm to 2 pm on Reprezent Radio.
